History

PT Kuralon Indah Sejahtera was founded in 1978. The founders chose a 1200 meter-squared site in Pluit, Jakarta, Indonesia to be the location for their first manufacturing facility, which had one interlining production line. The company was the first manufacturer in Indonesia to produce nonwoven fabrics.

Over the years, the company had grown and prospered. In 1980, the company moved its manufacturing facility to a 5000 meter-squared site in Daan Mogot and added another line to its interlining production. In 1985, the company added a line for padding production. In 1990 the company went through a major expansion by establishing a new plant on a three-hectare site in Tangerang, Indonesia. It is there that the company has grown until today. Today the company has three production lines for padding, three for interlining, one for synthetic down, and more than twenty computerized and non-computerized sewing machines for quilting.

Today, PT Kuralon Indah Sejahtera is a leading nonwovens manufacturer, a major supplier of interlining and padding products to Indonesia and also the world. Being a leading nonwovens manufacturer, the company constantly works on improving and maintaining complete control of our processes. The company strives to assure that quality goes into every step of its operations to satisfy the increasing demands of its high quality products.
